Small Fire at Tum-A Lumber House Ends Quickly
A small blaze at the Clay Branstetter home occupied by A. Longwell of Tum A Lum Lumber Company was extinguished rapidly after a bees torch under the flue ignited. Hose Company No. 2 arrived within eight minutes and put out the fire in nine. Insurance covered the nominal damage.

Laura May Kenison Reeves Dies After Illness
Laura May Kenison Reeves died at home on Meadows near Echo on Friday June 11, 108 after a lingering illness. Funeral at Echo M E church conducted by Rev. A. A. Metcalf followed by interment in Henrietta Rebekah Lodge cemetery. She was born July 6, 1874 near Walla Walla Washington and married William T. Reeves December 26, 18 0 . Survived by husband Read a daughter two sisters and three brothers.
