Death shocks Congress as Cushman dies in New York

Francis W. Cushman representative from Washington died in New York yesterday morning after a brief decline in health. The announcement came to Congress on the day not in session. his body will be brought home by a sergeant at arms representative. Senator Piles was with him at the end.

Robber Holds Up Bank of Commerce in Everett

A lone gunman robbed Assistant Cashier B C Olson at the Bank of Commerce, wounded Cashier J L Lyon, and fled on a bicycle with a small sum. Deputies and citizens hunted the bandit as bloodhounds joined the search. the satchel with money held only $15.

Work on New Water System to Be Completed Soon
