Echo celebrated the Fourth with a grand parade led by Marshal F. T. George. The Goddess of Liberty car, Miss Ruth Strahim, and Uncle Sam, Clarence Springston, highlighted floats from local firms and residents. A large ball game Echo vs Umatilla ended 5 to 3, with no disputes, followed by an evening dance and a full program of races and contests.
