Oregon State Fair to Mark 48th Annual Event in Salem

The Oregon State Fair will be the forty eighth annual gathering in Salem during the week of September 14. It is under the Oregon State Board of Agriculture with F A Welch as secretary and W F Matlock as president. Harland Ware Dies in Farmington Drowning Incident

Harley Ware, a prominent Farmington furniture dealer, drowned August 11 after a Chautauqua outing with six friends near the power house. His body was found at dawn in shallow river water after an all night search. He leaves a mother three sisters and four brothers. Funeral was held Saturday at the Baptist church with interment in Bonaparte cemetery.
