Death of Mrs Wingard in Lexington Saturday night
Mrs. M. Wingard died at her Lexington home Saturday night at 8 29. She was in her 92nd year and buried Sunday at St Stephen's Lutheran cemetery. Survived by three children Dr James Wingard Mrs Su Della Wingard and Miss Mary Wingard all of Lexington and several grandchildren. Funeral held Sunday afternoon at St Stephen's Church with Rev A B Cobenschain officiating. Active and Honorary pallbearers named. Also printed is an editorial on money value emphasizing local merchants and community prosperity.

Tragic Car Crash Claims Raymond Altee in Lexington Trip
Raymond Altee, well known at The Record Publishing Company, died at Good Samaritan hospital after a motor crash on a trip from Columbia to Lexington. Witness Macco Johnson reported seven men traveled, with Reed Haskell driving, when a tire failure caused the accident. Altee sustained a deep head wound and died 30 minutes after arrival. others escaped with minor bruises.

Wade A. Caughman died Saturday night October 21 after a long illness. He was a member of Co F ith Cavalry Captain Caughman’s Company and regarded as a good soldier.
