Washington May 2 Representative Falmer of the Seventh district urged a naval appropriation amendment that would delay funding until a meeting with nations to pursue general disarmament. He cited that 92.8 percent of a $5.686 billion total goes to war costs and attacked ongoing naval expansion as taxes rise for farmers, workers, and soldiers. He warned of a world war if the Navy grows unchecked and urged retrenchment before backing the bill.
