Cotton Association Starts Big Drive Across South Carolina
A broad campaign led by the American Cotton Association and partners including Clemson Extension, the South Carolina Warehouse Commission, and the U S Department of Agriculture launches with three state meetings in Anderson Orangeburg and Kershaw. The effort seeks more members funding for cotton warehouses and hiring of cotton grafters, plus county meetings to promote grading by a governmentappointed panel, warehouse expansion to handle half the crop, and stronger association participation in profits.
