In a December 20, 1922 dispatch the governor labeled the county probably the worst in the state for law violations based on alleged evidence from state troopers. Local authorities dispute the claim while noting ongoing enforcement, with several stills captured and violators arrested. The Dispatch News closes with holiday greetings.
Dr. Crosson of Lecavilig expresses in a December 16 1982 letter to the editor his aims for the next General Assembly. He advocates tax relief for agricultural interests, longer school hours, stronger economic policy, and better road construction and maintenance.
Senator D. M. Crosson defends rural police strength, calls for law and order, reduced officers and salaries, biennial legislature, and state owned offices. The store invites customers to view a bright stock and mentions a seasonal closing after December 29 with Friday hours.
State court sale of six tracts of estate lands in Lexington County to the highest bidder on the first Monday in January. Descriptions list Tracts 1 through 6 with acreages, boundaries along Bush River Road Saluda River and neighboring properties. Terms require one fourth cash with three year credit, eight percent interest, mortgage, and attorney fees. Dec 12 1922 notice by Clerk H L Harmon and attorneys Efird & Carroll. Lexington Gin Co. closes after Dec 29, runs Fridays until then.

Six of the largest New York City hotels managed by one company employ 610 cooks and nearly 1,000 waiters plus about 3,000 extra workers for banquets. In total the properties employ 6,200 people across more than twenty trades and professions.
