Schools Borrow Money for County Meetze Building Aid
A loan of 15000 dollars was negotiated with Bank of Leesville and National Bank of Batesburg for the county schools. Mes Unger, cashiers at both banks, aided the schools in borrowing last year to cover delays in tax collections. Ten new schoolhouses are being built this summer, taking advantage of low materials and labor costs.
