In Montgomery Alabama May 14 two black men Tim Henson and Peter Polls were killed and four deputies wounded during an altercation that followed a murder. Deputy Ish Primers Eugene Naftel Harry McCord Owen Ellis and Alford were injured as officers engaged Benson in a barricaded cabin. The siege ended when a fire drove the suspect out and he was killed by gunfire.
