Elark's Produce offers poultry pickup and top prices at door. Lanham breeder P. A. Duis sells Pure White Leghorn cockrels at 70c each while stock lasts.
Mr and Mrs Will Henrichs and family left Saturday morning for St Edwards Nebraska to visit her parents Mr and Mrs Wheeler and brothers They expect to be gone about a week Methodists of Diller and vicinity plan a church basement reception for their pew pastor next Thursday evening with a program and refreshments provided
Mr and Mrs J D Fanders came from Fairbury on Friday and were joined home by Mrs Fanders mother Mrs F B Senior. She had stayed with her son John Senior near Diller while the Fanders traveled to Colorado to inspect their land interests.
A severe morning storm ripped off shingles and sheeting on the north and west sides of the M. E. Church cupola. Lightning burst fuses and damaged basement bulbs. loss is fully covered by the Dwell ing House Mutgal of Lincoln.

Louie Fasse a farmer from six to seven miles northwest of Diller Nebraska sustained a fractured skull in an auto crash one mile east of Missouri Valley Indiana while returning from a visit in Wisconsin He was taken to a Council Bluffs hospital where his condition is listed as serious His aunt was driving and attempting to pass another car clipped the vehicle causing it to overturn in the incident
F Hartzell and Mayborns with two children stayed in Lincoln after boasting about county matters. Roy Nelson, who lived with his parents Peter and Mrs Nelson, left Washington DC after two weeks visiting family.

Mr and Mrs Willis Clark and daughter Carolyn Rose were dinner guests Sunday at the home of Mr and Mrs R W Green. Norma Francis, the Greens daughter, hosted a birthday dinner for Carolyn Rose with a center cake lit by four pink candles.
Rev and Mrs W S McCallister returned from the Nebraska Methodist conference at Hastings and began preparations to move to Unadilla in Otoe county where he is assigned for the coming year. The Diller church has prospered under his two years here and the congregation extends best wishes.
L Seaman on the way to Seattle celebrating his 73rd birthday with his wife. They plan visits with their son and daughter in law in Seattle and other relatives in California and Diller before returning home along the Pacific coast. The Davenport report notes the Seaman family gathering before departure.
Mr and Mrs Cal Herwig visited the home of C L Trist man and family and returned Wednesday to Humboldt. A Sunday night auto collision occurred at the first corner south of town involving cars driven by Mrs Bud Bell and Herman Albers. No injuries but substantial damage to both vehicles.
Dr. H. J. Slass of Blue Springs and former Diller resident physician spent Friday in town calling at the Record office. He winters in Florida and plans to make that his permanent home after selling his Blue Springs hotel property and filling station.
The Nebraska conference released church assignments including Joe Gettys of University Place as Beatrice district superintendent and Rev. I S S Jeffery to Diller. Former Diller pastors E E Pengelly Crounse Raymond H W Wagoner A E Chadwick E B Maxey W L Hadsell Mrs Iva M Innis C F Innis F A Carmony were reassigned to Elk Creek Wilcox Hildreth Randolph and nearby posts Endicott Rock Creek Fairbury Odell Plymouth Preindy Swanton Wilbur with L N Blough.
The M. W. A. meets on the second and fourth Thursdays each month. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Henrichs of Wichita Kans., visited this week at the home of their uncle and aunt Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Henrichs and cousins Fred Geo Theo and Will Henrichs. They plan to depart today. The N. R. C. Club gathered at Mrs. Margaret Ker’s Tuesday afternoon with eight members, three visitors and two children. guests included Mrs. Elmer Greider Effie Greider and Mildred Richardson. Dainty refreshments closed the meeting. Evening club to begin November 5 with Mrs. Arthur Grone.
Mr and Mrs C E Waggoner joined Mr and Mrs Wm Van Marter for a Friday trip by way of Wilber Dorchester and Friend visiting Geneva for the Fillmore county fair. They found crops good at each stop and enjoyed a one day outing with some time at the fair.
