Autumn Begins Tomorrow and Moon Phases Noted

Short notes report autumn starts tomorrow and two moon phases this month. A ford was stolen from E. M. Bell in Wymore Sunday night after thieves forced open the garage door. Visitors Ruth Coniff of Lincoln stayed with uncles C. E. and C. L. Waggoner and families. Mrs Al and companions visited with A. D. and H. C. Stotts then returned to Wymore. John Pulec and Mrs. Quake Franzen returned from a three day auto trip to Omaha. Diller Red sewing bee set for next Wednesday Sept 26 at city hall inviting old muslins and linens.

Local Fire Causes Bin Discovery At Central Granaries

A fire began in a bin at the Central Granaries Co’s colbourne area causing a quick response from workers. Fire was spotted by Colman, an agent for the company, who oversaw the shoveling of edal from the bin as flames were brought under control. The event occurred after a trip by Mr and Mrs Billy Tristman who had driven to Humboldt and returned with his sister Mrs C Herwig.

Charley Renz Takes One Day Trip to South Dakota

Mr. and Mrs. Reed of Wymore visited Tuesday at the home of their daughter Mrs. W J Frisbie while Charley Renz left on a one day trip to South Dakota earlier in the week.

Mrs. Jennie Copeland of Odell visited Diller on Tuesday to finalize papers after being granted a $12 per month pension. Also noted are Cedric and his wife visiting with L R Lambert and their spouses returning Monday from a Colorado auto trip to see relatives.
