Wagons Arrive as Dealers Promote Old Reliable Wagons

J D Fanpegs advertises the arrival of Peter Schuttler wagons for order. Carl Franzen buys Al Hutchinson's half of the Diller livery stock, now owned by Lottman and Franzen. Barns remain with the Hutchinson heirs. Miss Ileta Bivens, visiting Diller Endicott, was thrown from a runaway burro Tuesday evening and bruised.

Old Settlers Picnic at Endicott Schedule

The Endicott Old Settlers Picnic program lists events on Sept 11 and 12. Frist ex-attorney General F. M. Prout of Fairbury speaks at 1 15 p m, Gov Shallenberger at 2 p m, and a Gold Medal Contest by the W C T U at 3 p m on Saturday. Sunday features Rev Maxwell of Fairbury at 1 30 p m with a lecture on The Coming Church at 2 30 p m by Dr Thomas of Kearney and other entertainments.

Start of School Year Brings Large Attendance Despite Storm

A cold and stormy opening day sees 146 students enrolled in the first three days, with high school classes split into two sections. Miss Sturdavant and Miss Warner supervise upper grades, chapel sessions begin weekly, and readers are urged to visit and support the school.
