Otto Dodd of Ponder Missouri reports an ugly sore lasting a year healed by Bucklen’s Arnica Salve. He declares it the best salve on earth and notes its price as 25 cents at J W Sutton’s drug store.

Henry Stahl of Harbine reports a continued sale of buggies today and tomorrow. Mrs. Clyde Wright visits from Belleville Kansas while Mr. Wright travels to Center. Mrs. Stotts and the Taylors return from Ohio. Mr. Taylor may settle here. John Lamb shows a Dempster wind mill at his Diller shop, claimed to be the first shipped from the factory and very tight.
Miss Emilene Hearne visiting her uncle Chas Brandt for two months left today for Topeka to visit college friends a few days before returning to southern Kansas. She was accompanied as far as Odell by cousin Miss Bertha Brandt.
Rev Jno 8 Cox Wake Ark says he suffered yellow jaundice for 12 years before using Electric Bitters and now claims a cure. He endorses the medicine for liver kidney stomach and general debility and notes its availability from J W Sutton at 50 cents.
The Weekly State Journal announces a price cut to 25 cents per year for new subscribers after thirty five years at one dollar. The eight to ten page weekly covers global news and Nebraska items for the whole family and invites readers to send name, address and a quarter to Lincoln.
The Youth's Companion pledges to stay progressive and deservedly trusted by three generations. It cites contributions from top authors and announces a 1904 volume with features on global farming, plus free annual announcements and remaining issues for new subscribers. A tossed bet on a 500 foot rope pull from a local horse may be deferred due to rain. Voters are shown the Republican and Democratic tickets for Pleasant precinct with offices for assessor and commissioner and road overseers. Polls in M Wright’s building open at 8 and close at 6.
Mrs W K Havilard of Armonk New York credits Dr Kings New Discovery with saving her daughter from a near fatal whooping cough and bronchitis. Her niece with advanced consumption also recovered. A chicken industry editorial praises poultry profit, with age riddles about Mary Ann and Ann. the Superior Journal notes readers sending rewards answers up to 63 years.
A dinner at the home of Mr and Mrs Will Line honored Mrs Davidson and her niece Miss Anna Rittner of Pennsylvania. Attendees included R B Thompson Steele City H G Weigel Mrs Wm Green and daughter Bessie Mrs Alex Bell Mrs Wim Woods and daughter Jennie Mrs Eugene Weigle Miss Fannie Diller Mrs Annie M Diller and Minnie Bush. Menu featured chicken ham potatoes slaw and various desserts. The group reflected on life today versus 25 years ago in Pennsylvania and hoped for more such gatherings.
