Claude Cavett reports from Alberta that he and companions join a two month hunting trip aimed at pursuing big game including bears, moose, and caribou through northern regionsabundant with game.
A vintage notice argues a twelve year judge and his son in law reporter eight years. It questions a $65,000 salary as a family snug amount and asks to pass or relieve the burden. General Colby is nominated and described as well qualified for the office.
Cal and Charley Waggoner attended a gun club shoot at Marysville Kansas on Tuesday. A vote for L. W. Colby for district judge will help elect an honorable, competent and experienced lawyer to that high office.
The laws designate the first Friday in November as State Fire Day and require schools to hold exercises. The governor proclaims Friday Nov 5 as the day to inspect premises for electrical wiring, flues, flammable materials, and safe storage of oil and gasoline.

Mrs Ida Wood and Mrs Will Amos return from a Kansas City trip visiting friends. Mr A L Tristman and wife came back last Friday night after visiting their daughter Mrs Cal Herwig in Humboldt.
