The K. K. K. ladies were entertained at Mrs. C. L. E. Blauser’s home on Wednesday afternoon. Mrs. Leason attended as guest of honor. The afternoon followed the usual custom with refreshments served by the hostess.
Mr and Mrs R E Watson of Whitefish Montana visited from Sunday to Wednesday with A T Watson and family. He is wire chief for the Great Northern railroad. They return from a thirty day vacation coming almost directly from New York City.
Announce the July 25 1914 marriage of Miss Nell McKenzie of Hebron to Mr LaForest Raymond of Omaha. She formerly worked as a saleslady for Geo E Jenkins. he was a drug clerk at Globe Pharmacy in Fairbury. They will live in Lincoln.

Mrs J R Boyd of Hubbell who had visited here with her friend Mrs T H Waggoner returned home Sunday.
Hobert Engleman son of August Engleman residing five miles north of Diller enrolled this week at Beatrice business college.
The cement gang finished cement work on the Burling ton bridge over Indian creek just west of town and the structure is ready for steel trusses.
H. E. Grupe, a jeweler, states he has no plans to move away from Diller and will continue to serve his patrons. He writes to reassure friends and customers he intends to stay in business locally.
Grand Chief of Honor Mayme Hendrick Cleaver of Lincoln joined Pleasant Lodge members from Diller as guests of Steele City lodge. A four course dinner served by daughters in white dresses with pink sashes. Toasts by Chiefs of Honor and Mrs Cleaver. Readings by Mrs May Van de Steeg received hearty applause.
The community mourns J E Clark age 60 as his death followed a chill on Thursday. Born in Huntingdon Canada he lived in Scott County Iowa before moving to Diller Nebraska where he and Nancy Paul raised seven children. Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2 PM with Prof L P Bush officiating. He was a member of the A O U W and M W A with $2 000 beneficiary in each lodge.
