Sam Gaisford returned to Arkansas after a visit in town. Wm Gaisford of Minoak Illinois visits sister Mrs Gee at Pickard. Ed Hughes Democrat candidate for sheriff was in town. Patton Bros sold their drag line to Drullinger Son who now run the business. Local specials list: ginger snaps five cents canned corn seven cents oranges fifteen cents. Candidates crowded Diller and Red River Ohio places next week. A Mayborn travelled to Kansas City after cattle for two parties.
A light frost Sunday morning showed frost on a few leaves but did not cause serious damage to Verona tomato plants. No reports of frost-related injuries or crop loss beyond light surface indications.

Matt Brooks, longtime resident of the southeast Diller area, arrives Tuesday to visit his nephew A. D. Stotts and his many old friends. Brooks left the area about eighteen years ago and recently came from visiting his daughter Mrs Ballard and family in Siedin, Indiana.
