WACC October Meeting and Community Plans Highlight This Report
The WACC held its October meeting at Willis Clark’s home with Mrs O J Mayborn leading devotionals on Reapers and Mrs E Weigel chairing the business session. Upcoming events include a church supper on November 8, a food sale October 11, and a clothing drive by late November. A Rally Day program and Halloween decor were featured, and members voted to join the Woman's Gift program with Kensington plans for November 7. The note mentions trips by Paul Lampe and Marvin Saathoff to St Louis to see Cardinals Cubs games, remodeling on the Clarence Krebs farm, additions of a kitchen and bathroom, and plans for waterworks after wheat harvest. Notes on Mrs Orpha Waggoner’s trip include LA sightseeing, a glimpse of Zasu Pitts, and reunion with Diller friends. The Lutheran Missionary Society met in the church basement with gifts prepared for Missions Homestead, Inc.
