Diller Boy Killed in Auto Truck Crash

A Diller Nebraska community mourns as Arthur Malchow dies after a two vehicle collision near Morrill. Fred Periso and B Spence, truck driver, die. Alfred Malchow remains seriously hurt as five youths and adults traveled west seeking work. The crash occurred about four o clock the previous afternoon two miles north of Morrill.

Callanders Move South for Winter in California

Mr and Mrs M Callander left yesterday over the Burlington for Covina California to spend the winter. They have a daughter at that place and a son Lloyd stores there. Rev McLain held a pastorate at that parish before returning to Diller. Mr Callander has been in poor health and the move will spare him severe winter.

Seward Visit by Mr and Mrs Kenneth Young and Eloise Diller

Mr and Mrs Kenneth Young of Seward visited Eloise Diller at her father J Smith Diller's home on Saturday evening. They returned home Sunday evening. Robert Diller, who had stayed several weeks, accompanied them to Seward and left for Chicago on Monday.

Siebolts Lueker Wedding Unites Odell and Ellis Families

Miss Ano Siebolt daughter of Mrs John Siebolt near Ellis and Alvin M Lueker of Odell wed at the Odell Lutheran church last Sunday. The bride, a former Diller girl and 1922 D H S graduate, trained as a nurse and worked at Falls Sanatorium Beatrice and Odell hospital. The groom operates a local grocery business in Odell and they left for a Denver wedding trip. Attending were Mr and Mrs Ben Siebelts of Diller.

The men of the Congregational church organized the Victor F. Clark Memorial class last Friday at the home of Mr and Mrs Ray Green. Officers elected were Ray Green president O J Mayborn secretary He Weigel chairman project committee. Diller boys kitten ball edged Endicott 5 2 on 11 Diller hits. D Garrels pitched well allowing 12 hits and 4 walks while Wells and Vaughn split pitching for Endicott. Diller batters struck in two big rallies in the first and fourth innings. Endicott took a 14 7 loss from the Diller girls later.
