Capt Andrews of Steele City and J T Carmichael traveled to Wray Colorado to inspect fat cattle for market and to view cattle near St Francis Kansas for a potential joint venture feeding on Mr Carmichael’s farm. The imbecile daughter of Mr and Mrs Welling died at their home near Diller and was buried from the German Lutheran church. A fire at the Christian church parsonage coal house caused by children playing with matches destroyed the building. the parsonage was saved by quick work.
