A testimonial notes arnica from J. G. Jenkins of Chapel Hill North Carolina eased a painful flow and cured it quickly. The ad claims arnica is best on earth for sores, hurse and wounds and directs readers to Spear's Drag Store.
Alex Ballard called Monday and left a copy of the Plattsmouth Evening Journal. His son B B Ballard is foreman and Mr Ballard plans to drop in occasionally after praising the new office.
A short warning on stomach troubles from irregular eating and indigestion. It promotes K V D O L as a safe, pleasant remedy that quickly relieves beer burps belching and gas caused by disordered digestion.
Public notice from Co. Treasurer John Simpson states the 1907 personal tax is delinquent as of December 1 1907. Also an advertisement extols Kodol stomach aid, claiming quick digestion and relief from heartburn gas and nausea. Spear Drug Co. sells Kodol.
Pure Butler county buckwheat flour will be available in a few days at 5 cents a pound, pitched as a premium old Pennsylvania product. Jas Moles, once a Diller saloon operator, died at 64 near Powell after serving in Co C 53rd Ohio. survived by wife and eight children, and active with I C C F MW A and G A R. Also advertised Preventics cold tablets, claimed safe and effective to stop feverish illness and prevent pneumonia, sold by druggists with 25 cent boxes and 5 cent trial boxes.
J B Hampton of Duluth Minn, an acetyline gas expert, has been in Diller guiding the plant expansion and operation. The owners hired a reliable operator and announce improved service, with over $3,000 invested for town benefit and still paying assessments. The jury in Beatrice found Shumway guilty of first degree murder and robbery, sentencing him to death.
The Diller Recorp relocates its cylinder press and fixtures to a 20 by 40 foot brick one story building on the east side of Commercial Avenue. The move ends cramped conditions and improves operations. Mr. Pearce is praised for the improvement and success.
Miss Maude Shultz of Beatrice visits Diller relatives. Mary Friday returns from Fairbury after visiting sister. Mrs. A. H. Colman comes back from Topeka after weeks with relatives. Dr Shoop Catarrh Remedy trials mailed free by Dr. Shoop Racine Wis. Roy Nelson offered a clerkship in U S Navy Dept Washington DC at $3.00 daily but declines to accept.
Sunday school at 10 o'clock. Fisher Musser leads the League service at 6 30. Evening study titled Self Mastery. A special program at 7 30 after the sermon supports a general Church Board. Join these services.

Mr and Mrs John Glather of Humboldt Nebraska visit their son Wm Glather and family near Diller then buy the J E Kerr home just west of the M E church for 1250 dollars through Price Hill agency. Kerr plans to move on March Ist and may homestead in the Big Horn Basin under a government irrigation ditch.
County youths attend Grand Island Business College in Nebraska, a long established leader in business education. The school reports 1000 students yearly and plans to expand with quick short courses after graduation, offering low expenses and placement in good positions. Checks are accepted nationwide.
Local notices recap a Presbyterian ladies fair and supper planned for Saturday evening in Lpock's hall. Other brief items note Alex Ballard and daughter L O Ballard hosting turkey at Fair bury relatives on Thanksgiving, and several residents traveling or visiting relatives over the holiday.
Noah Handley of a farm west of Steele City asks for his record to be changed to Highgrove California. Mrs Will Keckley and her children visit relatives near Odell and bring samples of wheat and oats from Mr Keckley. The oats yielded 60 bushels per acre.
An advertising notice touts Dr Shoop's Restorative as the remedy for weak stomach heart and kidney nerves. It claims the tonic strengthens internal nerves, offers liquid or tablet forms, and provides free samples from Racine Wisconsin.
