Ose of General Raber General Lee War Time Dinner
Amusing anecdote from Mr Charles Morris about General Robert E Lees wartime diet. During shortages Lee hosted visiting corps and division generals with simple fare of hot corn bread cabbage water and a small piece of meat. The guests declined the meat but later faced hunger and the servant offered the meat again.
