Lightning strikes farm house near town in November storm

On Friday evening November 2 a severe thunderstorm struck a house on Geo Andrew’s farm, damaging the north part of the structure and starting a fire in the cornice. Furniture and interiors were ruined by the rain and collapse of plaster upstairs. G E Harris and family were spared, while insurance covered George Andrews’s farm loss and repairs proceed.

Floyd Hadley Wins Fireman Mile Swim Classic

Floyd Hadley, 307 Bartlett Street San Francisco, a member of the city fire department, won the Fireman Trophy in the Chronicle Mile Swim Classic held October 14 in San Francisco Bay.
