Public sale ads include several Poland China pigs for sale at reasonable prices. W H Plager reports coal stock and coke leftovers suitable for hard coal burners. Henry Wiemers sold Prince the Chester White herd boar for 3000 dollars to Wm. Buehler of Sterling Nebraska. Prince weighed about 1000 pounds and won first prize at the 1917 Nebraska State Fair. A. H. Colman, bank president, bought George Cross residence in Fairbury for 12000 dollars with plans to move there. the Cross home cost over 25000 to build. Mary Patton visited Diller relatives and returned to Lincoln. The new era movement in Presbyterian church parallels the Centenary in the Methodist church.

Potatoes Sold Off by Miller Grower Near Hemingford

Birt Miller who moved from near Diller to Hemingford Nebraska has sold out this week at 1.75 dollars per bushel a car load of potatoes. He raised 4500 bushels on 72 acres this season and sold two car loads to a Fairbury merchant. He plans to plant 1000 acres to potatoes next year.

Smith Farm Lands Sale Near Diller Details

On Monday auction at the suction sale near Diller the Pospisi farm of 120 acres was bought by Fred Rickars of Falls City at 147.50 per acre. The 200 acres once owned by R. J. and J. P. Cully went to I. E. Smith at 88 per acre. That evening I. E. Smith traveled to McCook where he sold unimproved land at 25 per acre the next day.

School Carnival At Diller School Raises Proceeds

The event held in November at the Diller school drew a large crowd and strong support. Net proceeds after expenses were about 125007 with the rest covering costs. organizers praised the effort of managers Helen Green and Walter Harsen and noted burgers and treats, including over 250 hamburgers, contributed to the fundraiser.

Minstrel show charms audience with lively performances

The Minstrel show drew strong applause across multiple performances. Mission Festival at Lutheran St Paul with Installation

On Sunday November 9 a Mission festival will be held at Lutheran St Paul. Sunday school will be addressed by several pastors. At 10 20 am German services and installation of Pastor J Hansen. At 2 30 pm English and German mission speeches. At 7 00 pm an English service. All are invited.

Methodist Sunday schedule invites town to attend

The Methodist church urges residents to attend Sunday school on November 9 at 10 oclock, followed by morning worship at 11 and an evening service at 7:31. A welcoming message promises a comfortable pew for all.

Presbyterian Church Announces Sunday Services and Reorganization

The church lists Sunday school at 10 a.m. worship at 11 a.m. and Evening Praise with a 7:30 p.m prayer meeting on Wednesdays. Preaching each Sunday morning and evening. Pastor C. W. King expects to relocate with family once goods arrive. The C E society and Aid Society are being reorganized this week at W. C. Line’s home.
