Engineer Bert Clark Dies of Pneumonia After Flu
Bert Clark age 35 died last Saturday at his Takoma Washington home after influenza and pneumonia. He was an engineer for the Great Northern for thirteen years and was the youngest engineer on the system at the time. He is survived by his wife and a four year old daughter.

The Collander home on the town’s north edge burned at 7:30 Saturday as Lloyd Collander and Raleigh Bell, staying with him, barely saved adjoining buildings. The family learned of the fire late due to bad roads. insurance likely covers the loss. Beulah Bell, 23, born at Diller, killed herself with carbolic acid in Hiawatha, Kansas, and was buried privately near home after the influenza order. Relatives from Hiawatha and Lincoln attended the funeral in Prairie Home cemetery.
