The Canton two row notes Charley Kelley went Wednesday to Lincoln seeking a job. Mrs Ad Smothers visited with relatives before returning to Council Musis Iowa. H. C Dawson closed a land deal with Dr Kelley for seventeen acres near Endicott. Diller school picnic planned with Eva Crocker and Miss Nellie Sparks resigns deputy postmistress role. Mrs Vernon Dowling Hill fills the vacancy, and Gertrude Lamb to resume as deputy next Monday.

Presbyter church wired for acetylene lighting
The Presbyterian church was plumbed this week and will be lit with acetylene gas using two large chandeliers and two single burners. A test last evening showed ample capacity to illuminate the large room. The view light will be used Sunday evening for the first time.

Fourth of July at Diller Celebrated by Modern Woodmen
The Modern Woodmen lodge at Diller formed a committee with Ho s Tomemaker P B Miller and Les Butterbaugh to gauge business interest in a July fourth celebration under lodge auspices. A separate executive panel of Fouts Pearce Clark Butterbaugh Townemaker will arrange speakers band and sports. Local businessmen have pledged 208 toward the event.
