A well attended Good Roads meeting in Loock's hall elected a permanent structure with C. Blauser as president and C. A. Gale as secretary. A bid committee will seek bids for twelve King road drags funded by Diller merchants. Next gathering set for May 30.
Dr W T Jeffryes announces temporary absence and plans to return soon. He requests patrons settle debts with Leon to liquidate outstanding amounts before his return. Arthur E Price and wife travel to Kansas City to visit his parents P W and Mrs P W Price.
Directors of Diller Farmers' Grain Company accept Ewart Wilkison Grain Co proposal to sell their elevator at this station for 5000 dollars. Treasurer calls stockholders to pay subscriptions by the 28th inst to close the deal quickly. Diller Farmers' Grain expects to operate the elevator by June 1 or as soon as possession is obtained.

Notice to all about to settle debts to Willems & Kunter at Shea call to settle before June 1. Also arrangements with Mrs O F Willems for railroad bills. Mrs O C Miller and son Earl traveled to Adams Nebraska after a telephone message informed them of the serious illness of their husband and father.
Rev. Knauer will be in Oceola Nebraska next Sunday so there is no preaching at the Presbyterian church that day. Sunday school and the young people's meeting occur at the usual hour.

In the M. E. Church Sunday school meets at 10 a m prompt to allow an early close for a Memorial service. Epworth League gathers at 7 p m with a preaching service at 8 p m on the Power of Influence. Rev Huntington's last session. Rev F E Gates of La Gro Ind is appointed pastor and expected Sunday June 3.

The Record office printed large two collared bills this week for a 4th of July celebration at Lanham. The First National Bank arranged the sale of the Chas. Burton farm of 120 acres southwest of Diller to W. N. Starkey of near Steele City for 5500 dollars. Mrs. W. N. Sparks and daughters Bell and Hattie and Mr. E. S. Diller traveled to Fairbury by rail to visit their daughter and sister Mrs. D. Miller and husband at Davenport Nebraska.
