Longtime Beatrice area resident dies at 75

Rice, age 75, died April 22, 1962, after a life spent around Steele City and Diller. He married Emma Fiis in 1904 and had three children. one infant died in 1910. He later married Parne Lemon in 1924, sold his Beatrice farm in 1945, and died while living in Beatrice. Services were April 25 at Harman's Mortuary Beatrice with Rev Wayne Green officiating. Burial at Evergreen Cemetery. Survived by his wife Emma Copeland three daughters and grandchildren. Burial at Diller Cemetery with Waggoner Funeral Home in charge.
