Campbell Bros' circus will exhibit in Fairbury during May or June marking the first appearance since 1909. A local horse trainer reports George Baker lost a valuable horse Tuesday night, the animal having been ill in town for over a week. Apples are selling at a nickel apiece, noted for their distinct expellent flavor.
A letter to G. T. Mills confirms the death last month of a brother who lived in Washington state and had visited here about six or seven years ago.
Cal Waggoner and Gene Diller joined other Diller residents Monday to witness an exhibition shooting by Geo. Carter and Fred Bills with J. S. Day present in Fairbury.

A 10 day sale of farm implements begins Saturday May 4 1912 at Shea. The list includes Kings 16 inch riding plow Canton 16 inch riding plows discs endgate feeder seeders and Canton cultivators among others. Local Nebr. dealer A. Boge carries the stock and will offer these at cost.
The David City Banner notes the stand pipe was cleaned this week and reveals three feet of filth including dead birds. It remarks the scene would suggest typhoid fever dangers, reflecting local concerns over sanitation and public health in the area.
