Spring arrived at 2 44 P M Tuesday as farmers report seed for sale and cattle shipments to Kansas City and St Joseph. Lincoln visitors and Diller residents share family news while deliveries, births, illnesses, and local concerns unfold.
L. V. Raymond, who had visited several days at his mother's home Mrs. Isabella Raymond, returned to his Lincoln residence yesterday.
Rupert Andrews returned Friday from Beatrice where he spent a week in a hospital and underwent an operation for a hernia.
Six carloads of stock were sent to market from the Diller station on Sunday. F Hartzel delivered two loads of cattle to the St Joe market, Leonard Richardson brought two cattle loads and Frank Grone one cattle load and one hogs and cattle load to the Kansas City market, with all parties accompanying the shipments.
Thirteen carloads of fat hogs and cattle were shipped to market from Diller during the past week. The usual weekly shipments of one to four carloads continue, along with frequent grain shipments from two local elevators, indicating the source of much circulating medium in the area.

The King's Heralds met at leader Mrs Cavett's home with rooms decorated for St Patrick's Day. Topics raised by the girls were discussed and new details about the King’s level were explored. Dainty St Patrick's Day refreshments were served. The next meeting will be at Doris Beckwith's home.
Frank Lowe a Steele City hardware dealer and associate Schultz pass through town and stop in Diller. Schultz announces his candidacy for the Republican nomination for state representative while Lowe remains on a business trip near Ellis.
Seventeen members attended with guest Mrs Sam Friday. After each had become a Movie Star, refreshments were served by the hostess and Mrs Cora Colman assisted.
In a one week delayed case at the opera house in Diller Camp No. 1668 MWA, Tillie Loving won a $1 verdict against Eric Steadfast. W E Anderson led the prosecution with M Callander, H H Beckwith defended, jury included Blauser McCune Peters Sparks Pearce Riddle. The trial drew a good sized audience and the judge Fred Frisbie presided with a dignified air.
