Diller Boys Reach District Tourney Third Place
Diller High School team finishes third in the Class C District Tournament at Wymore. They beat Lewiston 44 25, then upset Odell 27 25, lost to Adams 62 38, and finally defeated Table Rock 33 32. Folkers and Harding lead scoring. event highlights include 144 142 points by opponents across the tournament. Y Teens sponsor a March 26 food sale with location to be announced.

Local Music Contest March 14 at High School Gym
The Local Music Contest takes place Monday March 14 at 7 30 p m in the high school gym with Mrs Lois Beatty directing vocal and Mr K H Knowles guiding the band. Accompanists include LaRee Lucking Elaine Novotny Evelyn Hays Nerneal Fasse and Henrietta Kuska from Fairbury Junior College will judge. Several students receive honorable mention with no grade below B. The Jefferson County Pioneer Music Festival follows on March 22 with teams from Daykie Plymouth Endicott Reynolds Steele City Harbine and Diller. judge Dr Orvinn Lotspeth head of music at Peru State College.

Dennis Diekman entered the fifth grade Tuesday from Fremont school. This makes 12 in this grade. Donald Geer and Robert Casper return to school after illness. Hans Brinker is read during March opening exercises. St Patrick decorations were made for the room during Art Period Friday. Karen Long Janet Belding and Ruthanna Clary prepared the March Calendar.
