A shadow social will be held at the Blauser school house next Friday evening March 17 for the organ fund. All invited. ladies bring baskets with supper for two.
Miss Olive Ballard has received a complete line of samples from Ed Grossman & Co Chicago and is ready to take orders for tailor made suits and waists. Geo Hardy returns to Denver after aiding his mother and recovering from illness at Uncle Sammy Clark’s residence.

Alvin Shively and his brother in law 8 F Adams, moved from Storm Lake Indiana to Butler Missouri. They have bought farms near Butler, 80 acres for Shively and 160 acres for Adams, and plan to make homes on the land.
Mr Leslie J Hill and Miss Ina Maud Riddle were married at the bride’s parents’ home on Wednesday evening March 7 Rev Frank Mills officiated. A reception will be held tonight at the groom’s parents’ home. The couple are prominent locals starting their life together on favorable terms.

He was brother to Will Cramb of the Fairbury Journal and son of the late Hon. J. O. Cramb who died about a year ago. Cramb was a treasurer candidate against Scott Merrell three years ago.
A. M. Strawbacker plans to move to his farm south of town next week. T. N. Reiber of Endicott meat market spent Monday in Steele City. Tom Linville and family relocated to Carlton this week as he bought a nearby farm. A Bell Telephone representative attended a Steele City Telephone Company board meeting Wednesday and urged collaboration with Bell rather than Fairbury.

A notice in the Gage Record reports a surprise party held on the 17th at the home of Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Stewart. Ninety guests attended including relatives and friends formerly of Diller. The event featured music and singing and celebrated Mr. Stewart's fiftieth birthday.
Elias Hadley reshingled and repaired his residence. Mr and Mrs Thos Mayborn of Beatrice visited with Alf Mayborn's family. P B Miller and Dan Kasser traveled to Beatrice with Dan staying to visit. Due to Judge Killigar's aged father illness the March district court term for Jefferson county was adjourned to April 14 with jurors discharged.

The M W A oyster supper at Masonic Hall drew a large crowd Saturday evening with music recitations and addresses. About 10:30 the audience was dismissed and three candidates offered themselves for adoption as visiting brethren praised the Diller Woodmen as a lively group.
