Mr August Kunter of Willems and Kunter merchants at Shea four miles west of Diller telephoned last Friday to state they are not desirous of securing a license to operate a saloon at Shen despite rumors. They declare they have no stake in a shake trade and do not want to engage in the saloon business.
Kenneth Melver of Vanceboro Maine credits Dr King s New Discovery with saving his life after severe lung infection nearly killed him. He praises the medicine which cures coughs colds bronchitis pneumonia hoarseness and la grippe. Spear Drug Co offers 50 cent and 1.00 sizes with a trial bottle free.

Samuel Clark grows weaker after a long illness. His children, called by the family physician, travel from distant places to his bedside. Mrs Harve Seaman of Paversport Indiana arrives by Burlington route Wednesday. James Clark of Colorado Springs comes yesterday via the Rock Island line.

Billie Tristman and Gene Diller hunted rabbits Tuesday when a shotgun discharged. The shot struck Billie near the left shoulder, tearing flesh and setting clothes on fire. Gene put out the flames and Billie walked to town for medical care.

Fairbury Journal reports the district court will convene March 12 with Judge Raper. Jury is excused until April 16. Several attorneys involved in key cases from other places cannot attend the March date. The court may adjourn to April.
