South Platte Conference Opens at St Pauls Church
The South Platte Conference of the German Ev Lutheran Nebraska Synod and United Lutheran Church in America met last evening at St Pauls Church. Masons Grand Lodge Trip and Plattsmouth Cornerstone Visit

Widow of Burlington agent buried in Syracuse park hill cemetery
The wife of D. W. Van Horn formerly of Diller and Syracuse died at her daughter's home in Los Angeles while seeking better health. She was buried Wednesday in Park Hill cemetery at Syracuse beside their son Harry. She was past president of the Syracuse Woman's Club and active in library and church work.

Doctor Viers is Robbed by Highwayman Near Zion Church
Veterinarian Dr. S. B. Viers was held up at about midnight three quarters of a mile south of Zion Lutheran church on the state line southwest of Diller. A highwayman, armed with a revolver, took $5 from Viers who had only the trip money on him. The dark, unmasked robber forced Viers to move on, and the physician could not identify him.
