No. 13 Delays From Cambridge Freight Train Wreck

Nine or ten cars derailed when a freight train wreck at Cambridge due to an axle break caused delays of about nine hours on Monday. Kenneth Fouts, a student at the state farm in Lincoln, visited his parents Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Fouts on Wednesday and plans to leave soon for a job in Minnesota.

Miller Arrives on Business Trip Across South Platte Country

John W. Miller a Lincoln commercial man traveling in his own Ford arrived Wednesday evening for a business trip spanning much of the South Platte country. B. F. Lightner broke a bone in his left forearm while moving dirt through a cellar window at the store on Monday, now in a sling per the doctor’s orders.

Lew Starkey bought a new Ford on Wednesday from J. D. Fanders. Miss Minnie Clausson traveled to Lincoln Tuesday hoping to stay indefinitely. Mrs. Musser came Tuesday from Fairbury to visit her daughter Mrs. Quinter Fry and others in Diller. Henry Weers and two boys returned Monday from Auburn after visiting relatives. H. K. Shutt attended an Hastings college alumni banquet and reunion, returning Wednesday. Jas. Fairbank left Wednesday for Fargo to work as a silo demonstrator for a Kansas City lumber company. Mrs. J. E. Clark and Adah and Mr. and Mrs. Lim returned Monday from visits with Sam Clark at Wymore.
