The Woman's Society will meet Thursday June 16 at the church. Mrs Ray Lamb presents the Africa lesson and Mrs Clarence Robson leads devotions. Calendar plates will be turned in at a lunch after the meeting, with circle chairman in charge. FOR SALE items include hay seed and dresses.
The Cook and Can It club of Ellis forms as a new 4-H group led by Mrs. Young with Mrs. Wible as assistant. Officers include Marilyn Wible president Elva Barnard vice president Charleen Bartlett secretary Helen Young reporter Shirley Barnard treasurer Carolyn Fielder Joan Menke Kay Mason and Cora Bartlett. They plan 100 and 110 day seed corn with Coopers Elevator noted. Also included are creditor notices from Jefferson County Nebraska estate of Isabella Cornelia Raymond with claims due by 26 Spare in 1949 and court setting.
