Fifty Years Ago Endicott Beatrice Notes Prominent Local Events
Fifty years ago at Endicott Walt Nutter delivered thirteen wagon loads of bags and a report lists officers of the AOUW with C B Rice and F T Pearce among them. Beatrice saw a fatal two story front collapse on 6th Street injuring workers including the contractor, with Richard McCann killed. The GAR post at Diller sent members to Endicott for work pointers. Sam Jones joked of loves for pretty women and fast horses as noted in the old Record.
