Mrs Carlisle of Laramer Wyoming visited with her cousins Mr A D Stotts and Mrs Al Taylor and their families. They went Tuesday to Odell to visit other relatives. Al Taylor and Harry Hudson returned Monday from Rock County Nebraska where they sought 640 acre homesteads and obtained land numbers for potential filing.
A vintage ad touts Dr King’s New Life Pills as the pleasant, effective remedy for constipation. It claims to prevent appendicitis and to tone the system, priced at 25 cents at Spear Drug Store.

The O. E. 8S. held a banquet in the Masonic hall Wednesday evening for Mrs. R. V. Folkers, Mr. and Mrs. Thor Nelson, and Mr. and Mrs. Chas. McFerren, members about to leave the community. A large attendance enjoyed spring chicken and other delicacies.

Word arrived from Fairbury of the death of Mrs Ida Waters early Monday. She formerly resided here. The funeral was at the Presbyterian church in Fairbury Tuesday at 2 o clock, Rev Caldwell officiating. She was a beneficiary member of the D of H lodge of Diller and several lodge members attended.
Endicott reunion set for August 8 and 9. A thoroughbred Poland China male pig is for sale through Herman Sasse location. Buyers C E Morris Martin Frerichs Henry Weers paid 3400 dollars this week at London 80 near Blauser school house. King drug donations prepared for use report to J W Fouts.

Charley Packer returns from a trip to Smith and Norton counties in Northwestern Kansas reporting Washington Stewart family near Smith Center thriving on a good farm with a nice new home and strong corn prospects.
Mrs. ES Burnson of Dublin Georgia praises Electric Bitters claiming they keep her feeling young and strong. The tonic is said to cure dyspepsia liver complaints kidney inflammation and chronic constipation, with a 50 cent price and Spear Drug Co guarantee.

Lightning hit the chimney of J. B. Wrights new home in the town southwest last Friday evening. Bricks loosened, the chimney thimble expelled, plaster torn, and an upper window pane pierced by electric exit. Mrs Wright and two children in the basement were slightly shocked but recovered.

In Butler Missouri on July 18 1906 A C Shively sends a money order for one dollar to renew his subscription to the Diller Record. He expresses friendship and well wishes to the Diller community and signed the letter Your Friend A C Shively.
A Great North Sea dyke leak ignored by a watchman caused ruin in Holland while Kenneth McIver of Vanceboro Maine avoided a fatal lung inflammation after doctors gave up. He credits Dr Kings New Discovery which saved his life and is offered as a cough cold remedy at Speares drug store with a free trial bottle.
A Kansas farmer's wife praises a screened porch outside the kitchen as a superior living space for warm weather. She describes using a canvas blind rolled from a bottom stick, adjustable with a clothes pin, and notes vines on the south side can shade the area but wind damage makes canvas preferable.
