Lightning strikes hit a Nebraska farm and heat record set
Rudolph Hubka reported a shock of wheat hit by lightning Tuesday night. Fairbury saw 102 degrees on Sunday and Diller reached similar heat. Miss Eleanor Filey visited relatives, and rain Tuesday night delayed threshing but ended the heat spell, helping the corn substantially.
