Ed Wagenaar Suffered Rib Injury After Feeding Pigs
Ed Wagenaar, a subscription caller, reported an accident he recently endured. He previously broke three ribs on his left side, apparently recovered, but while feeding his pigs he worsened the injury, now in considerable pain that resembles being stabbed. The Record hopes for his recovery.

Twin Girls Born to Harder Family Near Diller
Twin girls were born Wednesday to Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Harder at the home of Mrs. Harder’s parents five miles southeast of Diller in Gage county. Nurse Ivy Gibson from Beatrice’s U. B. hospital cared for mother and babies that evening. both mother and infants are doing nicely with Grandma and Grandpa Hauver also well.

Alexandria Band Proposes Music for August Picnic
F. E. Hubbard and J. C. Westerhoff of Alexandria presented a proposition from the Alexandria Band to supply music for the picnic on August 11. The band, with eighteen pieces, played at Steele City on the 4th and is one of several groups seeking the commission. The committee will review additional proposals at its next meeting.

Hartzell Cleans Up Cattle and Hogs for St. Joe Market
Forest Hartzell completed a cleanup of cattle and hogs fed in yards south of town. He sold nearly two loads to J. E. Clark, part of shipments Clark sent Monday to the St. Joe market. Hartzell ponders future feeding but likely won’t market his two large alfalfa crops unless a good corn crop develops.
