The notice outlines eligibility for Grade I tires for essential occupations with local quota. Grade III tires are unlimited. It lists meat, fats, processed foods, sugar, shoes, gasoline, tire inspections, fuel oil and heating rations rules and expiry dates, urging return of re-application for the 1944-45 heating year to the local ration board.
Glenn A. Delaplain of the Office of Defense Transportation reminded Kansas City certificate holders to keep operation and inspection records for vehicles under Certificates of War Necessity. Since July 1, holders must supply their own records detailing periodic tire inspections, station numbers, tire serials, repairs, and service certifications, using any convenient form or the former ODT form.
