Reports from Diller detail July 4 celebrations in Odell and nearby towns, wheat harvest progress, property sale, births, visits, illnesses, and travel. C. B Titgell a prosperous farmer nine miles southwest of Fairbury was killed Tuesday afternoon when a mowing machine struck him. The accident occurred in the afternoon and power was restored at 8 o clock until death at 6 o clock. He leaves a widow and three children.
