Elville Schipper returned to work as a fireman on the Burlington after harvesting in Oklahoma. Ruth Pickard traveled to Beatrice on Tuesday to visit Mrs. Emma Hiatt and her sister Marie Upson in hospital. Showers are moving into their new Diller home after purchasing Nancy Robertson's property. Frank Horsky Royce and Larry visited friends in Barneston Monday evening. Hastings guests Mr and Mrs Colman stayed with Mrs Evan Green last Thursday night.
The Board of Education of School District 70 asks for bids on 50 tons of oil treated Oklahoma Nut Coal for the school house for the coming year. Bids close July 15, 1946. The board reserves the right to reject any or all bids. Committee: Robert Upson Earl Weigel.
Fairbury’s Cornhusker quintuplet calves will be shown at the 1946 fair with their sire and dam. Ed Schultz fair board secretary announced the plans on Monday.
