In a letter from Huntley of Oaklandon Ind a wife with consumption was given up by three doctors until Dr Kings New Discovery for Consumption Coughs and Colds cured her. The ad claims the medicine kills germs of all diseases and offers a trial bottle free with guaranteed 50c and 1.90 by Spear Drug Co.

Fatal accident claims Marion Blackwood near Odell

Marion Blackwood, a wealthy Odell area farmer, was struck by passenger train No. 15 while walking home and died the next day from chest injuries. He lived in the area twenty five years, owned three farms near Odell and near Oberlin, Kansas, and left a wife and several children. The article also notes the death of Charles A. Diller at 21 with a lengthy obituary and unrelated verse and ad items.
