H. Z. Diller returned Sunday evening from a business trip to St. Joe. Adam Gretzinger came back Tuesday after a brief visit with his brother Ben at Beatrice. Mrs. Winnie Herwig visited from Humbolt at the home of her parents Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Tristman. Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Mathias went to Belvidere, Nebraska to attend the funeral of Fred Schroeder formerly of Hanover.

Bertha Habicht 1875 1909 Obituary From Diller

Miss Bertha Habicht born June 26 1875 near Walnut Iowa left for Avoca at eighteen and rose to management in LeMars and Dubuque. She opened a Ladies Furnishing Store in 1899, journeyed abroad, lived in Great Falls Montana, died February 6 1909. Her remains were brought to Diller for burial in Reserved Cemetery. She leaves a mother a betrothed three sisters and three brothers.
