County approves Howard clock for courthouse dome
The county commissioners closed the deal to install a large Howard clock on the courthouse dome. Each of the four dials will be five feet in diameter and illuminated by an automatic switch for night reading. A 1000 pound bell accompanies the timepiece, purchased for 1422.50 dollars.

W J Price of Lincoln filed a 120 acre homestead while Walter Nutter of south of Endicott is listed as previous owner. The patent was canceled in 1885 and the land has since been open for entry. A Wy more party learned officials in Washington and Lincoln details, three days after Price filed.
