John Washington of Bosqueville Texas says he suffered blood poisoning from a spider bite with large leg sores for five weeks. He credits Bucklen's Arnica Salve with a complete cure after doctors failed. Also advertised are Spear's Drug Store’s Q5c salve for eczema boils burns and piles.
A note from H E Green offers to contract for delivery next spring on screen work with a special price if completed before spring. He thanks Diller residents for their support and directs debts to be left with J Clark while in the Land and Insurance business.
A French scientist cites a blood based method for longevity while Electric Bitters is touted as a life prolonging remedy. The ad claims nationwide use and credits W M Sherman of Cushing Maine with a full recovery from kidney trouble after using Electric Bitters. Available for 50c at Spear Drug Co.
I. D. Steiners sale takes place Wednesday February 17 starting at 10 o'clock featuring about 10 horses and mules 25 cattle and a large quantity of farm machinery. A free lunch will be served at noon Col J B Wright is the auctioneer Thos P Price clerk.
J D Fanpers announces Mitchell Newton and Moline Wagon Co offers wagons in stock at old prices to make room for spring goods. The notice warns of a 10 percent advance on wagons for which they have been notified. tf
EB L Loock and wife toured Davenport Nebraska last week to inspect a new house being erected there with plans to use the same design for a future Diller project. They visited former Diller residents Mr and Mrs J P Lowe who now live on a nearby farm and are content with country life.
The Diller Lyceum Club closes its season with the LaVell-Fox Concert Co of Canada at Loock's hall next Wednesday February 10. The Canadian group has toured the U S and earned strong press praise including remarks from the Montgomery Advertiser praising Fox the violinist and the Dell and Crawford performers. Reserved seats are available at Spear's drug store and general admission is 25 to 50 cents.
The H S A C introduces a new basketball. Prof Grimes missed work due to illness and several pupils were delayed by a blizzard. Earl and Bruce Wiegel return after typhoid. Esther Green spoke on Diller at opening. The Literary Club backs keeping the State Capitol at Lincoln. High school beat Endicott 36 to 16 in the first game. Lincoln anniversary set for Feb 12 with invitations to local groups. Exercises begin at 2 o'clock.
Workers completed the framework for Elmo Hadley’s new residence in Caldwell’s addition on Wednesday and plan to enclose it soon if weather allows. Col. J. B. Wright will auction Peter Jansen’s Big Sale next Thursday February 11 and expects about a thousand attendees.
Miss Martha Schnuelle resigns as bello girl at Diller telephone central effective Ist. Miss Maude Hauver replaces her. Neely's Pharmacy in Mississippi advertises Man Zan Pile Remedy claiming immediate relief for piles with direct application to affected areas.
Advertising blurb urges weekly physic for health and longevity. Promotes Hollister's Rocky Mountain Tea as the safest remedy, priced at 33 cents from Neely's Pharmacy.
Artie Yost moves his barber shop into the Shower building and plans to live behind the shop with his family arriving soon. The new setup signals the start of his local business venture.

The Junior class of the Serene Memorial Methodist Episcopal Church hosted a pink tea in the church basement last Saturday afternoon. Pink and white cake, pink candy and cocoa framed the event with games and a decorated table. The Junior class, a youth group with 30 plus members, plans more profitable meetings in the coming months.
