Loocks View Davenport House Plans For Diller Build

EB L Loock and wife toured Davenport Nebraska last week to inspect a new house being erected there with plans to use the same design for a future Diller project. They visited former Diller residents Mr and Mrs J P Lowe who now live on a nearby farm and are content with country life.

LaVell Fox Concert Co To Perform Last 1908-09 Event

The Diller Lyceum Club closes its season with the LaVell-Fox Concert Co of Canada at Loock's hall next Wednesday February 10. The Canadian group has toured the U S and earned strong press praise including remarks from the Montgomery Advertiser praising Fox the violinist and the Dell and Crawford performers. Reserved seats are available at Spear's drug store and general admission is 25 to 50 cents.

Diller School Notes Highlight Basketball and Local Events

The H S A C introduces a new basketball. Prof Grimes missed work due to illness and several pupils were delayed by a blizzard. Earl and Bruce Wiegel return after typhoid. Esther Green spoke on Diller at opening. The Literary Club backs keeping the State Capitol at Lincoln. High school beat Endicott 36 to 16 in the first game. Lincoln anniversary set for Feb 12 with invitations to local groups. Exercises begin at 2 o'clock.
