County commissioners adjourned until January 2 1912. Various local notes include Christmas visits by E R Henrichs family, Vern Starr from Wymore, and Edwin and Robert Fastwood visiting Liberty Nebr. A stray hog of about 150 pounds was taken up. inquire at Win Nida. The paper extends New Year wishes and advertises a bob sled for sale.
The Ellis company declared a 15 per cent dividend at its annual meeting held recently. Mrs. Musser moved into town this week and occupies John W. Miller’s residence after renting her farm to A. A. Eick. Chester Andrews left for Boston, Mass. Mrs. Lydia Myers of Steele City is mentioned in the note.
A special meeting of the Royal Neighbors of America is set for this Friday evening in the lodge room. By order of the Oracle, Frank Tonnemaker and Bruce Weigel, Beatrice High School students, are spending holidays at home in or near Diller. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Paxton and their twin babies, who visited for Christmas with Mrs. Jack Powell and family, left Wednesday for their home in Oketo Kansas.
Public sale announced to start at 10 o clock include 12 head of horses mules and colts 2 good cows farm machinery and some household items located seven miles east of Diller and four miles north of Odell conducted by Jt O F Conant.
