A L Bixby Dies After Four Decades of Nebraska Writing
Dr A L Bixby longtime Daily Drift writer for the Nebraska State Journal died in his sleep at home in Lincoln on Christmas Eve. He moved from New York in 1870 and practiced medicine at Pawnee Indian Reservation and North Platte before switching to journalism in 1881. Car Recovered in Beatrice Theft Case Near Odell
Sheriff Ackman traced the W. K Anderson car stolen from Diller on December 7 to Duis farm southwest of Odell. The vehicle, bought from a Beatrice dealer as a Christmas gift, had its serial number milled from the engine block and was found at Fairbury after repainting and tool disposal. The car had logged about 1000 miles and remains in good condition.

Mary Cunningham Dies at 93 After Residence Here
Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Waggoner learned from Mrs. H. M. Gemeny of Los Angeles that Mrs. Mary Cunningham died Wednesday at 1:30 AM. She was 93. The remains were laid to rest in California. The Cunninghams lived in this community about forty years ago.
