Nebraska farmers gather in Lincoln during the first week of January for the annual Organized Agriculture sessions. Speakers will address farm and home problems for the coming year. Livestock breeders meet Tuesday to Thursday mornings while sheep, cattle groups convene midweek and Thursday. The center hosts sessions and the annual banquet occurs Thursday evening.
Fairbury Nebraska December 19 C C Calloway aged 89 lives three cities northwest of Fairbury and is the only man in Jefferson county still living on the land he entered as homestead. He came from Missouri in 1869 and has lived there since, directing farming from his first and only home a brick shaped one room house. He plans to move to town but wishes to stay on the old place as long as he lives.
